Cristina has over 5 years of experience in investments, including 3 years dedicated to investments in emerging markets and impact investments across Latin America, Asia and Africa. Additionally, Cristina has experience in supporting social entrepreneurs to strengthen their financing strategy and business growth plans.
Cristina is Senior Investment Associate at ALIVE Ventures. Previous to ALIVE, Cristina was a Senior Investment Officer at GAWA Capital, the largest impact investment fund manager in Spain, where she was responsible for executing end-to-end investments in Latin America, Asia and Africa, mainly in the sectors of financial inclusion and agriculture. Before joining GAWA, Cristina worked in the investment banking advisory services at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Previously, she worked in the European Investment Bank and the European Innovation & Technology Institute, focusing on Cleantech, Future Mobility and Healthtech transactions. Moreover, Cristina collaborates with Pro Bono Capital initiative, supporting social entrepreneurs to strengthen their financing strategy and grow their business impact.
Cristina holds a Double Master’s Degree in Management and International Business from ESCP Europe (France) and Darla Moore (US) and an Industrial Engineer Bachelor Degree from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid in Spain. Cristina’s master thesis was awarded by Open Value Foundation, designing a financing strategy of a social enterprise launch, enabling greater economic independence to its philanthropic projects for the albino community in Africa. Additionally, Cristina was a Young Civic Leader Fellow and an Armanext Women in Finance Fellow.
