Amsterdam, 22 October 2024 - In recognition of Symplifica's efforts creating formal jobs for women, the company was awarded the prestigious Women's Economic Empowerment Award 2024 at an exclusive event organized by the Dutch Good Growth Fund (DGGF) (the event marked DGGF's 10th anniversary).

DGGF, established in 2014 by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is a 'fund of funds' supporting local venture capital firms, with the aim of closing the funding gap for entrepreneurs in emerging markets. For its 10th anniversary, DGGF organized an international conference in Amsterdam, bringing together policymakers, donor organizations (DFIs, Foundations), DGGF investors (local fund managers) and experts in startup financing.

During the event, three companies were recognized: Kilimo, from Argentina, for its impact on climate issues; Max, an African delivery company; and Symplifica, which was recognized for its impact on the economic empowerment of women.

In an interview with Salua García Fakih, CEO of Symplifica, she highlighted the company's contribution to the formalization of domestic workers in Latin America, “Our commitment to the empowerment of women is at the heart of our business model. Formalizing jobs for them not only improves their quality of life, but also contributes to overcoming the social challenges of the region,” said García Fakih.

Symplifica has formalized more than 36,000 jobs to date, of which 93% correspond to women, demonstrating its significant impact and potential for scalability in the Latin American market. This award reaffirms the importance of Symplifica's work in building technological tools and more equitable conditions for domestic workers, providing real opportunities for economic and social development.

The ceremony in Amsterdam not only recognized Symplifica's commitment to female empowerment, but also marked a milestone in the history of the DGGF, celebrating a decade of supporting entrepreneurs who are transforming their communities around the world.
