Virgilio is co-founder and Managing Partner at ALIVE. Additionally, Virgilio is the Latin America Director at Acumen, a global impact investment fund. Prior to joining Acumen, he was the Executive Director of Banca de Inversión Social, a pioneering organization in the development of the impact investment sector in Colombia. Previously, Virgilio was the Founder and Director of Invest in Bogotá, a public-private partnership that promotes direct foreign investment in the Greater Bogotá region. Virgilio was also the head of the privatization unit of the Ministry of Finance of Colombia and was a local economic development advisor for the Bogotá Planning Secretary. Additionally, Virgilio worked at the private equity fund FondElec Group, as a consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton in Brazil, and as a financial analyst at Citibank in Spain.
Virgilio has an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, an MA in Economics from NYU and an BA in Government from Harvard University.
